Answers, Action, and the Road Ahead
After a whirlwind stretch, we have a diagnosis: endocarditis and ischemic stroke. What comes next will take grit, grace, and your support.
Today is July 10th, and after weeks of uncertainty, we’ve started getting some answers about Tabby’s condition. The doctors have diagnosed her with endocarditis and an ischemic stroke—a combination that explains a lot of what we’ve been witnessing and managing.
She’s now in Room 3306, having been moved out of the ICU—a milestone that signals real progress.
Physically, we’re seeing right arm weakness, pain in her legs, and loss of some central vision. But emotionally and cognitively, she’s more present. She’s asking questions, engaging, and responding meaningfully—it’s more than a few days ago.
We know the road ahead includes rehabilitation and continued care. There will be hard days, but now we have a clearer picture of what we’re up against. And we’re not doing this alone—you’ve been with us every step of the way.
