The photo for today is a narrow road—one of those back-country paths you take when you’re not quite sure where it’s going. You keep walking anyway, because something inside tells you to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
That’s what this season has felt like. Tabby is seeing little improvements here and there. Nothing huge. Nothing that would make for a headline update. Just steady, quiet steps forward. And for that, we’re grateful. Thank you for the prayers, the messages, and the kindness. They matter more than you’ll ever know.
This morning I woke up with Jim Croce’s words in my head:
“Tomorrow’s gonna be a brighter day,
There’s gonna be some changes,
Tomorrow’s gonna be a brighter day…”
That’s the kind of hope you cling to when the road is narrow and the map isn’t clear. You believe the sun’s gonna break through, even if the clouds are still hanging heavy today.
Here’s what I know: life, advocacy, family—they’re all the same road. We don’t always get to see the big milestones right away. Sometimes it’s the smallest wins that remind us to keep walking. A conversation that changes one mind. A child who finally feels heard. A lawmaker who actually listens.
We don’t need to have it all figured out. We just need to keep showing up, keep moving, keep believing that brighter days are ahead.
So for today, I’ll leave you with this: whatever road you’re on, even if it feels narrow and uncertain, keep walking. Step by step. Small improvements add up. And tomorrow? Tomorrow’s gonna be a brighter day.
